Liquid Drain Cleaner

There is a couple of different formulas in the liquid drain cleaner. Either acids or an alkaline base can be used to dissolve the clogs and organic matters. Caution should always be used when dealing with drain cleaners. Damage can happen to you or your pipes. Be careful to never mix different chemical drain cleaners with any other products. Serious reacts could take place like the chemicals could erupt or cause serious damage to yourself.

While finding the drain cleaner is easy, it is very important to read and follow the instructions on the labels. Some of the chemical reactions can be very dangerous. Some reactions may be toxic gases or violet eruptions. This could cause serious damage to your eye sight or skin blisters and burns. And your pipes could be damaged as well. Some manufactures instructions will require hot water. While other brands may be hampered by the hot water.  Use of cautions with the drain pipe cleaners is very important.

There are a few items you may want to try to help prevent the sinks, drains, showers and lavatory drains from becoming clogged. The mesh drain traps is a great way to help prevent items for going down the drain to start with. It is like a strainer for the drain. Most will drop in the drain opening and lift out as you need to clean it. 

The use of some of the dry bacteria drain and trap cleaners that is used on a monthly basis is a good way to prevent clogged drains. These will cut through common clog causing items like oil, grease, fats, soaps, synthetic detergents, and toilet paper. When mixed with the water in the drains, this enzyme and bacteria will dissolve most common types of clog causing buildups. And of course it helps to keep a plunger close on hand, just to be ready if needed.
